SLA photocuring molding, namelyStereolithography(Stereolithography Appearance), is a 3D printing technology that uses photosensitive resin as a raw material.
The working principle of SLA technology is to use ultraviolet laser with specific wavelength and intensity to focus on the surface of the photocurable material, and to complete the drawing of one layer through the solidification process from point to line and from line to surface. After completing one layer, the lifting worktable moves vertically by the height of one layer, and then the next layer is cured. This process is superimposed layer by layer to finally form a three-dimensional solid model.
In the SLA printing process, the photosensitive resin is usually liquid, and it will immediately initiate a polymerization reaction under ultraviolet light (wavelength is about 250 nm~400 nm) to complete the curing. Due to the high viscosity of the photosensitive resin material, it is difficult for the liquid surface to flow flat quickly in a short time after each layer is cured, which may affect the accuracy of the entity. Therefore, after scraping with a scraper, the required amount of resin will be very evenly coated on the previous layer, so that after laser curing, better accuracy can be obtained, making the product surface smoother and flatter.
Laser optical path working part
The laser is refracted by the galvanometer to scan the slice path of the model.
The laser hits the liquid surface on the screen, making the support formed on the screen.
The filling material is applied by the device scraper.
Printing process demonstration
Printing is completed and floats out of the liquid surface
Remove from the screen for cleaning
Enter the curing box to completely cure the resin material
Surface polishing post-processing
After post-processing, choose whether to spray paint, electroplate, etc., according to the needs, to obtain the final product.
In general, SLA technology has been applied in many fields due to its high precision and smooth surface characteristics, such as the manufacture of engine parts in the aerospace field. Using SLA process can directly produce the master model of investment casting from CAD digital model, which can significantly reduce time and cost.
